Polls say that 82% of us want a crackdown on Wall Street; yet, those of us
without degrees in Economics are not sure exactly why we are so pissed off.
President Obama "gets it," he knows that his best shot at a second term is to make "Main Street vs. Wall Street" and he is adroitly painting the Republicans into corner: If they remain loyal to their Big Money Elite patrons, they will be on the wrong side of the populist wave that wants their to hang the Wall Street Crooks and Bastard Banksters.
This is why the Republicans, like Mitch "The Bankster Bitch" McConnell
look foolish, as they try to appear to be on the side of Main Street, while
working behind closed doors to plot and scheme with Wall Street to dam the
rising tide of righteous anger of We The
People.
Let's try to summarize the issues and translate the jargon into Cowboy
English; then, when, the seething anger of Main Street is directed at Wall
Street and people go after the heads of
the Heads, we will know exactly why the revolution WILL be televised.
And, as we watch TV as they stream into Wall Street offices, by the hundreds, by the thousands, and run them out of their corner offices and off their private beaches in the Hamptons, we will understand why.
GAME OVER "LOVE"!
When we read the
news that their second and third houses, their private tennis courts, golf courses and yachts and other toys of the rich are
be liquidated and the profits returned to the people on Main Street, we will know exactly why.
When you children point to the TV and say, "What are all those people doing?" you will be able to tell them what is happening and exactly why.
"Pigs in a Blanket" anyone?"
Shortly, we will get to the indictment, the charges of The People on Main
Street against the 5% of the population who own 95% of the country. The racist cretins who shout "socialism!"
fail to realize that they are in that 5% that are getting screwed; it is long
past time for the wealth of the country to be more equitably
re-distributed--taken away from the 95% and returned to the 5% who create the
wealth with their honest labor.
These
leeches did not "HONOR LABOR"--the 95% of Americans who "played
by the rules," went to work every day, left their children in day care
centers, worked two minimum wage jobs, gave their life to the company, mowed
their lawns, raised their children, cared for their elderly parents, pursued happiness; these cold-blooded reptiles laughed at the working class as they
devoured their marrow.
Here is how, primarily during the 8-year coup d'etat regime of Cheney-Bush,
with the assistance of too many Democrats they stole your country:
"The white-collar criminal has no legal constraints. You subpoena
documents, we destroy documents; you subpoena witnesses, we lie. So you are at
a disadvantage when it comes to the white-collar criminal. In effect, we're economic predators. We're serial economic

they were running the equivalent of a giant Ponzi

bedrock of fraud and deception.
This environment was promoted through the expenditure of hundreds of millions of dollars for lobbying
legislators and campaign contributions. There was extensive
collusion between the financial services industry and politicians of both parties.
Cutbacks in government monitoring of financial practices became the norm,
with fines and "settlements"
in (with some exceptions) replacing vigilant oversight and the prosecution of
wrongdoers at the federal and state level. Fraudsters
were primarily punished with fines businesses paid as a cost of doing business."
In 2004, the FBI warned of an epidemic of mortgage fraud, but also acknowledged their own white-collar crime squads had been downsized when fighting "the war on terror" became the priority.
As conservatives dominated politics, laws were softened
and courts soon
looked the other way as a historically
unprecedented transfer of wealth got underway. What were once
considered criminal practices were now redefined as legitimate ways of doing
business. Observers like Denis Arvay commented in The Atlantic:
"This was criminal in any serious definition of criminality, but all
perfectly legal in the lawyer-crafted
vermin-nourishment clauses under which our economy was looted.
Everyone involved knew that the CDOs that packaged sub prime loans were not AAA credit-worthy (which means that they are completely risk-free). "The entire strategy is to keep people from getting the facts."
